Ensure that a freedom of information request is the appropriate way to access the information you are seeking. The City only processes freedom of information applications when the information requested is not otherwise available to the requestor. If the requested information has been published, is available for public review, or is disclosed by an operating department on request, requestors must follow established processes. Please know that only existing records can be disclosed in response to a freedom of information request. The City is unable to create a new record, analyze information, or provide answers to questions in response to a freedom of information request. Use this form to detail the records you are seeking to access. You will be required to pay a $5.00 application fee by credit card when submitting the form.
Please submit a separate freedom of information application for each information request (i.e. each subject or address).
Ensure that your name and contact information is correct. We will use this information to acknowledge your request, seek clarification where necessary, and to disclose records to you.
What to Expect
When you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email that also acts as the receipt for the application fee.
• Your request will be acknowledged by email, normally within 7 business days.
• A decision on access will be issued in writing and sent by courier, normally within 30 days.
• Processing fees apply. You will be notified of the applicable fees in the decision letter. Fees must be paid before responsive records, if any, will be disclosed to you.
